Meet Maddie: The Founder

I’m the founder of The Social Butterfly, but it didn’t start with some big beautiful plan. It started on a phone call with my dad, driving to one of my last classes at Texas A&M. I had stress rashes, tears, and I was telling him I had no clue what I was doing after graduation. I just knew I wanted to work for a company that truly cares about me, their employees, & their customers, so I employed myself.
I took everything I love like content creation, design, branding, and storytelling, and built a business around it. Now, I get to help other people grow their brands online with confidence and clarity. The Social Butterfly was born out of uncertainty, but it’s grown into something that gives me (and my clients) a real purpose.

Outside of work, I really value slow mornings, comfy clothes, and being around people who make life feel lighter. Most days you’ll find me with Honey (my very cute golden retriever), grabbing a coffee, working out, calling my best friend (aka my mom) for the fifth time that day, or rewatching a show I’ve already seen way too many times.
Balance really matters to me. I believe in working hard, resting well, and not taking the good stuff for granted. My faith is a huge part of who I am. My faith in Jesus is the foundation of everything I do, both personally and professionally. I’ve been told before that faith and business shouldn’t mix, but the truth is, without my faith, there wouldn’t be a business at all.

I’m a type-A creative who thrives on a good plan and a clean layout. I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Communication and a focus in digital marketing, so I’ve always been drawn to how people connect and how brands can stand out without trying too hard.
I care a lot about the work I do and the people I do it for. I’m a big believer in doing things the right way, not the rushed way. I care deeply about my clients and genuinely want their businesses to grow.

Meet Kaylee: Social Media Manager

Kaylee is our first official hire at The Social Butterfly and leads social media management for our clients. With three years of experience under her belt and a degree in Communication + a minor in Social Media, she’s the perfect combo of creative and strategic. From content planning to caption writing, she keeps our clients polished, consistent, and growing. We’re a small but mighty team, and Kaylee is a huge part of what keeps things going.

Kaylee was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She’s also a classic Type A personality who thrives on structure, but also knows how to keep things fun. Kaylee and Maddie met at Texas A&M while studying communication and social media, and they’ve been close ever since.
Fun fact: Kaylee was actually the one who helped Maddie adopt her golden retriever, Honey! -
Kaylee’s a dog mom to a golden doodle named Lucy and LOVES Christmas. You can usually catch her in Hobby Lobby by September, already shopping for holiday decor. She loves hoodies, cold weather, and the mountains. She’s got a creative eye that shows up in everything from content creation to branding and design.
